A shame to lose him but good luck to him. Had a wonderful season last season and took to this level like a duck to water.

Been told he had a very low release clause in his contract so we haven't got much for him but then we haven’t really spent much on him or invested much so swings and roundabouts

Age only comes into it if his contract has expired. He was on contract, like they all are - he only signed one with us though because of a low release clause.

I just know. His agent worked very hard to get him a move and his release fee was freely circulated amongst clubs.
