I can picture that final day defeat at Staines, which will propel them from the relegation places to an unexpected play-off place, with us sweating on Weston's result to hope we don't drop 15 places...

Last years' final league placings were the closest I have seen in over 20 years of watching football and there is no reason why this season's won't be the same.

Consistency will be key and as we saw today we are still struggling with this. The good thing is that we are finding ways not to lose even when not playing well. Stay optimistic.

I think we just need to get some players back and quickly. The bench today seemingly comprised of only one player who was able to come on - McCootie must still not be 100% as surely we would have thrown him on as well when we were 2-1 down.
From what I gather, Beau Taylor, our fourth sub, has played in the Isthmian League and has recently started at Bath Uni.

Yes, and to simplify it further, we are strong away from home, weak at Twerton. In the 13 league and cup matches played so far...
Home - W1 D3 L3 F7 A13 14% win rate (including 2 matches against lower level opponents)
Away - W4 D1 L1 F10 A7 67% win rate (1 v lower level)
This has been a trend for many years, yet something we finally improved last season. If we really are going to have a stab at promotion, it's something that needs addressing pdq!
