This competition certainly went to the wire, with 5 people still in with a shout of the title at ko yesterday.

Kington's equaliser did for Steve's chances, and a draw at ht meant that Chris was also out of it.

With the score at 1-1, my prediction of less than 2 goals made me a winner, but also Sean with his much larger bet. So i was praying for a late winner for us, but hoping a 3rd wouldn't follow which would have made Rudi the champ.

The lino did for me with his ridiculous offside flag against Pratt (!) and Sean held on...

Of course, it's not how many you win but the size of your winnings which counts. My largest was £5, while Sean's measly 5 wins included £56, £50 and £11

And just in case anyone wants to visit the bookies, just remember that we made around 380 bets throughout the season. A total of 34 wins gives a success rate of just 9%...
