Always enjoy visiting Park View Road (or as it’s known this season, the J Hearnden Skip Hire Community Stadium!) - traditional non league ground with a good atmosphere and a brilliant view from the Erith stand. I believe the terracing at the top end has reopened after safety issues being resolved.

Considering the conditions, an entertaining game which should have produced more than the single goal, another excellent finish from Thomas. Welling certainly weren’t the worst team we’ve faced so far but unless they start converting chances they will face a season of struggle.
Interesting to see Batten and Lines running the show in the second half following the manager’s expulsion. Apparently Jim Barron is on holiday.
I thought that Twerton was the only ground in the NLS without cover behind at least one of the goals but the structure Welling erected last season has now gone. Thank goodness the opposite end is now open as the trees behind offered some very welcome shade.

Reflects some of the comments by Welling fans on social media. One of them said we were s**t and I couldn't resist pointing out that if that is so and we are top it doesn't say much for the rest of the division! As others have said, no doubt there are tougher tests to come but lets enjoy this while it lasts.

Standard fare from beaten fans. Rather be at or near the top than striving to be up there. Definite togetherness in the group looking at the highlights and footage of the team on the coach on way back.

Very true, but despite the view of the home fans I didn’t think we were poor on Saturday. I’ve seen far, far worse performances from us in Kent!
