From that angle you could argue that the stand should be cheaper for us (and, I'd guess, the vast majority of non-league grounds) given that theaters and concert venues reduce prices for restricted views.

I don't think that the view from the stand is any more restricted than certain parts of the tea bar side. Of course, next to the Mo-B-Q, we get a great view.

That aside, wherever you sit in the stand (perhaps apart from the front row) I think there will be at least one post in your line of sight, whereas you will always be able to find a place on the terraces with an unimpeded view.

It was a very different environment from the norm with Colin sitting in the "prawn sandwich" seats.

The good thing about our stand is its height - the view of the match is excellent from there and as Yuffie suggests, is far superior to most at this level. At places like Weston you may as well take a garden chair and watch from the opposite side. Another big plus is that it faces south so it's really pleasant on a sunny day. The new structure at Maidenhead is very good for the view but damned cold in the shade on a cool day.

The downside of ours is that even most of the front row seats have an impeded view - but that's where I sit because of the excellent leg room! Talking of which, the worst comfort wise is by a country mile the stand at Sutton.

Other good stands can be found at Maidstone, Dartford, Chelmsford (although miles from the action) and Eastbourne. For next season I'd also recommend the new one at Welling, but it belongs to another club!

Early birds and other random forms and bits of paper aside, surely we should focus on on-line payment options. Anybody any ideas what is stopping us from doing this? I am happy to help instigate this (for match day tickets and merchandise as well as season tickets) but I don't understand what the blockers are. Are there technical / procedural / legal constraints?
