Where do we go from here?
Ok boys and girls, where do we go from here?
Stick with what we've got
Go for a new manager (from outside the club)
Re-arrange the deck chairs and put Jim in charge

Action
It would be gods to hear more about solutions from Adie and Archie.
Also the Board haven't said what they think.
Any business in a run of poor results would be responding right now.
Deafening silence.

Nail on head, Pete. Many supporters have clearly tired of what they see as merely excuses from the management. It's the words of the people who run the club which should carry weight and I think some sort of statement is long overdue. If the dreaded vote of confidence is the result, so be it, but let's hear some reasons for that.

I suspect the board are just seeing it out pending resolution one way or t'other of the bid.

Any successful business is based upon being proative rather than reactive.
The issues facing the club should have been discussed at a board level a long time ago and plans put in place.
I'm hoping this is the case, but will not be holding my breath on this one.

I think we will be relegated.
The board have clearly got their fingers in their ears going naa naa naa and just waiting for someone to take the problems off their hands.
They are just going through the motions albeit working hard at the same time. In my opinion there is a lack of drive from the top. What is needed is a good administrator. Someone who can look at where organisational improvements need to be made and to drive them through.
There is a lassitude within the club and this has translated to the team management that is happily finding pathetic excuses for underperformance. The treatment of Stearn for me embodies all that is wrong with the team.

Win next week and we'll feel better. Let's back the players. We have some talented lads. Despite lacklustre leadership maybe we fans can boost the players next week.........that's not to take the pressure off those who are running our club but it just feels like all we can do as fans. I am conscious that many have backed the team home and away for weeks now and must feel pretty distraught.... Z

The last time we were knocked out of all competitions before Christmas was the 2009/10 season.
We went into December with six wins under our belt (this time we have seven) and sat below halfway in the league. I expect Adie was being criticised left, right and centre.
End result? Promotion.
That said we made a bit more dosh from that cup run. And I had a few more nervous breakdowns compiling programmes. At least the last minute goal yesterday prevented me being up all night and probably lead to failing an assignment or two.

Hayes Trophy draw today presumably means a midweek replay? #tiredlegs

Re: Where do we go from here?
I think Stillmanjunior is stretching things a bit by comparing the 2009/10 season with this one. I agree that we had gone out of all 3 cup competitions before Christmas, but you can hardly compare going out in the 2nd round of the F A Cup at home to Forest Green, having won at Grimsby in the 1st Round, with losing at home to Harlow in a 3rd Qualifying Round replay. I think getting into the play-offs that season (and ultimately getting promoted) was a direct result of the momentum from the cup run, not to mention the money it brought in, neither of which we have this season. I don't think that sort of momentum can be underrated, and we definitely had it last season as well up to the end of February. The combined attendances from this seasons three F A Cup games is less than for that Forest Green game.
