Kyle Patten signs pro
Newport County AFC are pleased to announce that Kyle Patten has today signed a professional contract with the club that will see him through until January 2015.
Kyle is an Academy graduate who has been recovering from an injury that has seen him miss the last 18 months. Following a full pre-season with County, Kyle returned to match action with a goal against Croesyceiliog in July and has also appeared on the bench for the first team for our game against Morecambe in August.

Double deal boosts injury hit squad (5/9/14)
City have made two short term deals to boost their squad ahead of tomorrow's Vanarama Conference South home match against Whitehawk. 18-year old striker Bobby Dale has signed on a one month loan deal from Cheltenham Town whilst Kyle Patten, a 19-year old midfielder, has joined from Newport County. Dale will go straight into the squad to face the Hawks whilst Patten's signing awaits international clearance. We welcome them both to the Club and hope they will have a successful period with us.
I suppose it takes a week for the news to get through the dial up internet in Wales, then forwarded to Frome.
Hope you are looking after Frome, keeping the "riff raff" away from Castle Powell whilst comrade is in Madrid.

Seems the communication problem at our club continues - only announced on our website today!
I thought it was rather quiet down this way at the moment.

I see you only had 4 on the bench yesterday and Patten wasn't amongst them. Is he injured?

Still no international clearance yet, as I understand it.

Re: Kyle Patten - Loan Signing
Absolutely crazy - we sent 4 players out on loan in the last couple of weeks and International Clearance took several days to go through for 3 of them, all 3 missing 1 or 2 fixtures!
