I see Kevin has been sacked by Torquay - worth signing as a left back for the rest of the season, or do we already have sufficient cover in that position?

I'm sure he's kept himself fit since joining them but has hardly played. Ball, Straker and Welch-Hayes can already play there.

Have to see though. He's good friends with Owers. Wish him well as he's a very approachable, decent bloke.

Real shame it hasn't worked out for Kevin Nicholson at Torquay - apart from being a good player with a sweet left foot, he was a real credit to himself when he was with Bath City and was an intelligent, very pleasant and knowledgeable guy.

I hope he gets fixed up somewhere soon.

Agree with everything above - I don't think we need another left back but seemed a good guy and I hope he gets another job/club soon.

I guess if he'd not gone back to Torquay there is a fair chance he'd be our manager now.

The fact is Torquay have been scraping along the bottom of the league for the whole time he has been in charge. I think they have a bit more money now but it appears the team has got worse not better.

He obviously has good contacts as there are constant stories about Torquay on the BBC website but the jury must be still out on whether he really can cut it as a manager.

I wouldn't have thought it will be long before he gets another chance.
