Friendlies
I see that the first pre-season friendly is against Reading under 23s. Wonder if this means we will see Axel playing against us?

Re: Friendlies
Lets hope so, and that Reading win on Monday so it is a Premier League clubs Under 23 team that we play.

Re: Friendlies
Might not be the first yet. Guessing that the season starts on August 5th?* If so I will expect one or two earlier friendlies.
Pleased that we 'only' have Clevedon away on 22nd July as I'm on a stag do, was fearing it'd be Jim's testimonial.
* hope it does, anyway, as I'm best man on the 12th and don't want to miss the opening match of the season. Regardless I'll be praying for an away match on that date.

Re: Friendlies
I notice that of the seven friendlies confirmed, the five most attractive are all at home. Is this -
1. Good news financially as obviously we'll get bigger gates than home to Yate etc?
2. Bad news financially as there are 'fees' involved?
3. It's just that the 'bigger' clubs don't want their pitches 'roughed up' pre season.

Re: Friendlies
Isn't it just that smaller team plays at home usually in friendlies? As for fees, perhaps their coach?
