...is potentially already our player.

I know Fleetwood didn't exactly pull up any trees at the start of the year, but for me he never got a run down the middle (at Poole he was operating wide right). 4 goals since NYD, but we have to put up with watching Marvin "One Goal Since September" Morgan lumber around, taking 6 touches to control a ball. Worth a punt trying Fleetwood surely?

Maybe, but despite his goals Fleets hasn't won over every Weymouth fan, as the following post on their forum this week suggests:

"To be honest it appears to me that this "super striker" is playing where HE WANTS TO PLAY and that seems generally out of the way of any tackles or trouble - and as for his one-on-ones have seen him pull out at the last minute too many times to think he is giving us his all. Just watch him closely next match - see how often he actually moves into space rather than walking away from it!"

Sound familiar?

Given we missed out on Harvey and Wilson, we are safely in mid table and not likely to threaten either end, our goals scoring has been inconsistent at best, and Fleetwood was sent out to get confidence and goals, then we should get him back. Weymouth look safe enough. But do these loan players ever come back??

Agree about Marvin - he only looked half decent in comparison to Fleetwood. So good idea to bring Fleetwood back to make him look good again.

According to Twitter, it looks as if Fleets is staying at Weymouth for the rest of the season.

And they are paying or part paying for him. He wouldn't have been cheap on the wage bill so money freed up for us, but that doesn't seem to be the issue. We can't get anyone to come here !

I was quite surprised that he was on a contract with us, considering he was paying to play for a mate's Sunday league team before coming to us.

Just curious about the basis for your 2 assertions. Source?
1. "He wouldn't have been cheap on the wage bill"
2. "We can't get anyone to come here"

I'd rather see Josh Hutchinson given a start than fetch Fleetwood back. Couldn't see the point of Josh being sent to stand out on the touchline for the last ten or fifteen minutes, should have taken Marvin off at that stage and done a straight swap, rather than alter the whole shape.

Good pass from Josh to set up McCootie but I could see why the gaffer doesn't pick him. He doesn't mix it. Steps out of tackles and left us exposed a couple of times
