Not surprised at the small crowd. I drove up from Bridport and it was one constant stream of cars heading south, a wonder anyone left in Bath/Bristol area at all.
I don't get this 'the opposition was poor' schtick that often seems to come out when we win. St Albans had taken 4 points prior to yesterday to our zero. Their no 10 was a right handful and so nearly scored with the spectacular overhead effort. The barrage of long throws would have undone us on previous occasions so seems a good tactic to try against us, but we dealt with it quite well.
Yes, we'll play better sides soon enough but I thought we stuck to it and did the job quite comfortably in the end.
I too made Monthe the MOM. Glad to see Bowman have a solid game with the bonus of using his more adventurous side once they went a man down.
